Sour Cream and Eggs

Sour Cream & Eggs

This painting was inspired by the 'fiscal cliff metaphor' when our national economic debate was raging.

The nest is designed to protect, nurture and comfort. During the financial down turn in the market I dreamed of being helpless in the face of impending change for the worse. I watched our ‘nest egg’ plummet and our ‘cream’ turn sour. All metaphorically speaking!

What a powerful and thought-provoking piece, Linda! 🎨 The symbolism behind “Sour Cream and Eggs” beautifully captures the emotional and financial uncertainty of that time. Your ability to blend metaphor with visual storytelling is truly inspiring. As a Rice" target="_new" rel="NOFOLLOW">https://fkengineerings.com/">Rice Mill Consultant in Pakistan, I can relate to how markets and livelihoods intertwine with emotion and resilience — your artwork expresses that balance perfectly. Truly mesmerizing work! 👏
